"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he
is old he will not depart from it."
The path to literacy begins when a child discovers that learning
is exciting and interesting. That is when books, uniforms,
pens and pads become the friends that will carry them to the
brighter futures.
The faculty at Jain Vidyaniketan continuously find simple
and effective ways to help their students develop their potential.
Teachers build a personal rapport with the children by encouraging
interactions that bring out inner aspirations. These dedicated
efforts include ingraining a strong sense of personal hygiene
and smartness in each student.
Since its inception in July 2000, the school has witnessed
a vast transformation in its students. Teachers had to start
with the very basics of personal hygiene and the maintenance
of clean clothing. The afternoon meal, bus transportation
and the novelty of the experience were initially the attractants,
but over a period of time, students have attained a level
of maturity that clearly proves they have absorbed all the
guidance and inspiration provided by their mentors.
Bhagawan Mahaveer's message of love and compassion towards
all living beings propels all activities here. The tenets
of ahimsa in thought, work and deed are imbibed into the students.
These energies, which were once at risk of being squandered,
are now assured of fruitful and positive productivity.
